Baptism Request
Ready to take the step of baptism? We are honoured to walk it with you.
Baptism at Edmonton Central
Baptism is a public step, taken freely, after someone has decided to follow Jesus. There is no set age and no deadline. Some people are baptised within months of their first visit and others take years.
Before a baptism a pastor sits down with you, one to one or with your family, and works through what the step means and what the Bible teaches about it. That study is unhurried and there is no obligation at the end of it.
Send the form and a pastor will be in touch. If you would rather just talk first, call the church office on 780-420-0215 or email ecsdacoffice@gmail.com.
Common questions
Is there an age requirement for baptism?
There is no fixed age. What matters is that the decision is the person’s own and that they understand what they are choosing. A pastor will talk this through with you or your family beforehand.
Do I have to be a member first?
No. Baptism is usually the step by which someone becomes a member, not something that follows membership.
What if I was baptised in another church?
Talk to a pastor. Depending on the circumstances you may not need to be baptised again, and the conversation is the right place to work that out.
