Almost everything that happens at Edmonton Central on a Sabbath is done by volunteers: greeting at the door, running sound and media, teaching Sabbath School, cooking for fellowship meals, and the community services work through the week.
You do not need to be a member to help, and you do not need experience. Tell us what you enjoy or what you are good at and we will point you to a department that needs it.
Some roles working with children require the church’s safeguarding checks first. The office will explain what applies to the role you choose.

Do I need to be a member to volunteer?
No. You do not need to be a member and you do not need previous experience.
How much time does it take?
It depends entirely on the role. Some are one Sabbath a month, others are a few hours a week. Say what you can give and the department will work with it.
Are there checks for working with children?
Yes. Roles working with children require the church’s safeguarding checks first, and the office will explain what applies.
