August 01, 2026 – “Why is There Something Rather Than Nothing” by Pastor David Hamstra

Worship online in song, prayer, and the Word with the Edmonton Central Seventh-day Adventist Church and join us as we worship together. Pastor David Hamstra presents a sermon titled “Why is There Something Rather Than Nothing.”

The real question is not whether there is a God but why there is anything at all. God is the simplest answer to that question, but that answer requires faith to underwrite it. We all put our faith in things that we can’t see. The question is whether that faith gives our lives ultimate purpose or whether we settle for a less valuable existence.

== How to Give Online ==
Note: Donations to the Tithe fund support our pastors, evangelism, and the world-wide Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Donations to the Church Family Budget fund are the best way to support the services and operations of Edmonton Central Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Option 1. Credit Card
Go to [[ https://adventistgiving.ca/#/org/AN64E6/envelope/start ]] in your web browser. Follow the instructions to donate by credit card.

Option 2. One-time Transfer via online Banking Account
Begin an INTERAC e-Transfer in your online banking or bank app. (Contact your bank’s customer support, if you do not know how to do this step.) Enter e-transfer email address in the email ID field: etransfer@edmontoncentraladventist.ca. Enter the total funds you are sending. In the memo/message session, enter the breakdown of the funds. Example: $300 – Tithe ; $50 – CFB offering etc. If there is not enough room in the memo field, email your list of funds and amounts to etransfer@edmontoncentraladventist.ca after making payment.

Option 3. Recurring Bank Account Transfer
Download pre-authorized debit form available at www.albertaadventist.ca/giving. As you fill out the form, designate Edmonton Central as the “church to receive funds” and indicate the “accounts,” i.e., funds, you are donating to and the amounts to be given. Email the form to giving@albertaadventist.ca or mail it to the Alberta Conference (5816 Hwy 2A, Lacombe, AB T4L 2G5). The Alberta Conference will withdraw funds once a month, between the 1st and 5th, and pass those funds on to Edmonton Central.
